Our Boats
Ambergris Divers’ fleet of dive boats has been customized to provide comfort and convenience for the way the trips have been set up, taking into consideration travel time and destination characteristics.
Ambergris Divers’ vessels are outfitted with communication equipment such as VHF marine Radios and cell phones, and Satelite Phone onboard our Offshore Dive Trips. Safety equipment such as life vests, oxygen and comprehensive first aid kits, are kept onboard and regularly maintained. All our vessels are duly registered and licensed by the Belize Port Authority, registered and specified within our tour operators licensed issued by the Belize Tourism Board, as well as registered with the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, which guarantees our customers that the strictest requirements have been met.
“Lady Karen”
At 45ft in length, this vessel is assigned for Offshore Atoll dive trips, but also utilized for local dive trips.
Outfitted with 3 powerful 200hp outboards and paired with its unique hull design, Lady Karen offers the fastest ride to the offshore atolls, getting you to the Blue Hole or The Elbow in a record 2hours. This is by far the best travel time as compared to other bigger vessel’s 3 hour boat ride. Lady Karen has easy side door water access, a full head on board and fresh water rinse shower. The rides back from the day trips are scenic atop the flybridge with the captain, or on the front deck where you may enjoy the scenic ride back while basking in the warm sun.
“Baby Catherine”
Named after our daughter, this 41ft dive boat provides a very comfortable setting especially for dive groups. Baby Catherine travels mostly to local dive sites along Ambergris Caye, and is powered by
2-200hp outboards. She has side door water access. Though local dive sites are just a few minutes away, a full head on board provides added convenience. At an ample width, shaded and unshaded areas also provide you choice of sunbathing on the rides out.
“Axel”
Ambergris Divers is a mid size dive operation which is comfortably equipped to offer all our services inhouse. With that in mind, named after our son, “Axel” is one of our main local diving boats, but it is also equipped to handle offshore dive trips. This 40ft dive boat is comfortably equipped with a full head and a pair of fast and quiet 200hp outboards. Axel is also used for local snorkel trips.
“Fish Tales”
We are avid sport fishermen, and in honor of that hobby our newest addition to our fleet is 30ft Fish Tales. In line with making all of our vessels comfortable, Fish Tales is outfitted with a full head, and with its inboard it affords a rear platform. It comfortably services small dive groups for local diving and snorkeling.
“Ms. Ermelinda”
Was built at our boat yard and is a full hull custom design of ours. We offer our Dive Course Students attentive and reserved training dives which on entry level are carried out onboard this 25ft Ms Ermelinda. Half day local snorkel trips are also serviced onboard this vessel.
